Thought this would be the right spot to post about this. As many of you have read the Ashes series in the past, most of you know the events that led to the collapse of the nation and the conflicts that followed. Jericho is a show that is about a small town in Kansas that is attempting to cope with the collapse of the federal government after 20-25 nuclear devices go off throughout the nation, and the trials and ordeals that its citizens must go through to protect their rights, property, and homes, and values. The show ended its first season during the summer, and the second season starts February 12nd. Heres a link to its website, you can watch the entire series at this link. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/Hope everyone enjoys it. (I hope this doesn't break any forum rules about url posting... if it does sorry about it..) I originally got into this series when my Father told me about it being somewhat similar to the Ashes series. He was the person who lent me my first WWJ book Fire in the Ashes around 98. So I've trusted his judgment on books and shows for the most part. If anyone likes this series please communicate back, its great to hear from fellow fans.

Glad to see everyone's liking it.
[Spoiler]
If you saw the teaser for the next season, it looks like a civil war is breaking out between Jericho, The Allied States of America, Texas, and the North East.
[End Spoiler] I've watched many different shows from the last decade and further back, truth be told not many strike me as much as Jericho has. If anyone has any comments or shows that are similar somewhat with Jericho or the Ashes series please do tell. The more that a show is talked about the better it gets.
Also Jericho could get extended to a third season and more if there is a significant amount of viewers once the second season starts up.

You realize the reason why there is a season 2 for Jerico is that the viewers went ballistic when they pulled the plug after season one.... CBS had a MASSIVE viewer movement to keep it on the air....

Only sent letters and donations but WE want our show back. I'm sick of all these "reality shows" that aren't.

So let's see........ There is a nuclear holocost in America....... There is an internal civil war between towns and states... A rebel group rebuilds part of the country and the former government rebuilds the rest.... In the midst of rebuilding there is a deadly virus that can wipe out the country..... Seems I remember reading a book that talked about some of the same things once

Unfortunately in order to make it your own, it only takes 40% change in the character / plot.
Change from Rebel to Renegade, change SUSA to Region 5, change it from Ben Raines to Jake and make Cecil a FBI / NSA type instead of a former Green Beanie and Viola! you have successfully made your own storyline.
