How many books are planned for this series? I am currently reading No Man's Land, and every book has been fabulous. I will be disappointed when the series is over.

I've had to read the series from the middle, working both ways. In a way it's kind of fun, since Bill always refreshed our memory with excerps from prior adventures. But starting from the beginning and moving straight to the end is always the best, for me.
I'm hoping there are many more adventures coming. A completely different writing style is noted, since Bill died, but still... all of the books and series are great and keep me wanting more.
Now..I'm going to guess that eventually the last gunfighter will "partner up" with his son, who willingly joins his father, so that he may learn and eventually pass on his knowledge and skills to HIS son.
Branching off along family trees gives the option for so many books, it's almost pathetic. But... I'm still mainly stuck in the Smoke Jensen and Gunfighter era. That's when I wish to have lived, if I had a choice of times to live in. Of course, I'd want to cheat and have the butt kicking .357 and .44 magnums of today, rather than the black powder bullets they used in that era.

As the list of titles in this series hasn't been added to for a while, thought I'd list the missing books:
17. Ambush Valley - March 08 18. Killing Ground - Oct. 08 19. Slaughter - March 09 20. Sudden Fury - Oct. 09

I've read the first two books in the series and REALLY enjoyed 'em. Started reading "Ghost Valley" the other night and must say I was a tad shocked at how much of it is either flash backs (identical to the book before) or scenes and dialogue that's too similiar to the book before. Might just breeze through this one quick and move to the next. I don't wanna give up on Frank Morgan, but I don't wanna read 50 pages of the book I just finished either. Maybe this is just common for a series? This is my first series type of book, so maybe I'm just not used to it. Really do enjoy William's writing though. Great stuff!

Just seen a post elsewhere in these forums that discussed Ghost Valley. Seen the reply that William might have been writing that book at the same time he started chemo treatment. Wow. That's rough and I'm impressed he kept writing at such a terrible time.
I've gone ahead and moved on to the next book and I'm already enthralled with Frank Morgan again. YAHOOO!!!
