From Books on Board... No one captures the true spirit of America like William W. Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone Jackknife is their most pulse-pounding and timely thriller yet. AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK, And this time, it's not New York City or Washington. A sleeper cell of Middle Eastern terrorists are targeting the heartland: an all-American superstore on opening day, right outside of Fort Worth, Texas. The day after Thanksgiving. As insurance, the terrorists have also hidden a suitcase nuke somewhere in the store which they plan to detonate. A strike fifty times worse than 9/11 that will paralyze America. A PLOT TO CRIPPLE THE COUNTRY Brad Parker is the lone American intelligence agent who uncovers the plot after a raid on a terrorist training camp in Pakistan. But Parker is one man up against the inept bureaucracy of Homeland Security and the State Department who refusea to listen and now it's too late. THEY CALL HIM JACKKNIFE The only thing stopping the kill-crazy terrorists is already inside the superstore. A truck-driving, former Special Forces op named John "Jackknife" McCabe. He's where the perfect terror plan is about to blow apart. Because Jackknife won't go down without a fight. And with this guy as leader, the terrorists will find their way to paradise a lot sooner than they think.

Jo just got this from walmart, enjoyed it greatly. Just wish someone would impeach the pres, i am so sick of her attitude and how she thinks we should bow to everyone. I am just waiting for Texas to declare thier indpendence. Heck they would have a heck of an armor units with Fort Hood being right there.

Hey, monbade you just may have givin the author a new story line. Anyone else want to see a book on Texas seccession from the Union and what happens in Texas the rest of the country? After all Texas was the only independent nation who won it's independence by fighting a war with Mexico and later voluntarily gave it's sovereignty up to join the U.S. Because of this most Texans who've lived there for generations are fiercely independent and hate the erosions of liberty. They truly have lived by the saying Mr. Johnstone is fond of. " You saddle your own horse and stomp your own snakes." All the characters from " Border Wars", Remember the Alamo", and "Jacknife" could be in this story.

Just finished reading JACKKNIFE. I couldn't put it down and actually read it in a day. It should be required reading for anyone running for office.
After getting laid off more than two months ago, I will be going back to driving a tractor trailer. Will be in Cookeville, TN September 29 - October 2. On my way home I plan on stopping in Pall Mall, TN and visiting the Alvin C. York State Historic Site. I will be riding my motorcycle down and will try to have an enjoyable ride.

I'm a big fan of the Ashes books, so i figured i would give Jacknife a read. I liked the character development in this book. I felt that the terrorists were pretty much spot on. It shows that extremists are irrational, hateful, brainwashed slaves.
Got through it pretty quick too. Had a few tired days of work because i stayed up all night reading.
