Holy cow! I didn't realize there were this many Ashes books! Guess I'll just have to study more on the Action and Adventure Aisles. Sigh.... hey JO!!! Now I know what ya can send me for my birthday! A nice big box of everything Ashes from book one to date!!! heh heh!!! Don't I wish?
I gotta start at the beginning.... because the way Bill writes, starting in the middle just ain't right and leaves too many questions unanswered.
Sigh.... I gotta win the lottery or something, so I can die happy and surrounded by WWJ and all of his friends.

It's been 20 years since Bill first gave me a book called "Out of the Ashes". When this friend and neighbor told me he was an author and I laughed at him saying "Sure Bill, and I'll mow your yard for every book you've wrote".
That was a hot summer, and Bill's grass never needed mowing! It also began a 20 year journey into the SUSA, Dog Teams, Mountain Men, Drifters and many others.
I sat down today for the first time in those 20 years and started to read that first book again. It brought back memories of times forgotten. It is just as good now as it was then and I am sure that I will have to read them all again before I am done. Only this time I won't have to wait months between books to see what Ben and the Rebels will do next!
I only wish that there was a way that we could have a Dallas type "shower scene" and Ben and the crew returned to pick up where they left off.

I'm on page 275 in "Wind in the Ashes". That little boy Rich fits more than one definition of the word punk.

Hi Jo and everyone.. looks like the forum's been a tad slow of late... at least this part. My question is...... Are you going to publish release dates for the coming year? You know.. like last year... all the new/reissues coming out? I'm copying this list to add to my other lists of "needs".

Sure will.. just waiting on a couple of titles to complete the year end.. Most of the new releases are already on the site. You'll find them within the book series links.. The list will be updated in the next couple of weeks. I'll make sure I put the notice in the newsletter when it is updated and uploaded.. Have a good'n!

Yep I've got all of them on my bookshelf...in order and all first prints...none of these new reprints.Of course it took me about five years visiting just about every used bookstore in about an eighty mile radius to do it

Strangely enough the Ashes series is starting to show back up on store shelves again, with new covers.... But what puzzles me is this, why do they group all of Bill's books into one group? all of his books are put into westerns....

At Barnes and Nobles I found the westerns in the westerns area and the others in the fiction area.
You can also look in Wal-Mart for some of the new books.

Are they correcting the serious typo/scene continuity error in the 2 New York books? think it was either #'s 9 and 10 or 10 and 11, can't remember off the top of my head.
