As a recovering Nice Guy myself, I somewhat benifited from reading this book. i.e. the part when Baldwin first meets Cody in the bar, I got to glean from that. From my past experience, trying to hard to be a Nice Guy to win a woman's affection always backfired in some way. Baldwin sets a good example on how to talk to a hottie in a bar. even though he is a gentleman and treats women with respect, he's not overly worried about "offending" her. Unlike Mr. Nice Guy, the man is pretty relaxed. His desire for her is ever so apparent from reading the book. He wants her sooo bad, but he goes about it in a much more effective way than Mr. Nice Guy does. Unlike Mr. Nice Guy, Larry Baldwin seems confortable with who he is. Nice Guys and recovering Nice Guys should read this.

It really is a good book. Even though it has been a while since I've read it.. I liked it.
It isn't what most people think of when you see a book in the "romance" category.
You've got me curious so now I'll have to read it again..
:D
